Two things you can start doing now when you are feeling misunderstood. We are taught to believe that when something "bad" happens, there is only one way to feel. We think that the reason we feel hurt or offended or misunderstood is because of what they did. We actually don't have to feel hurt, offended, or misunderstood. When someone hands us something "offensive" we don't have to reach out and receive it. They can keep it! No, thanks. #emotionalhealth #strongerbecause I can be misunderstood and be okay
